Getting so much better all the time.

Life has been so much better since I came home. Although I miss my friends and my school and the city, life here at home has been kind of nice and I've been enjoying my time here. I saw my friends Saturday at Cupcake's Sweet 16 party. It was great and as usual felt just like old times. I'm heading to graduation for my best friend Sprinkle on Sunday. I've been helping my mom with her daycare kids and enjoying the time I've been able to spend with them. For now, I'm enjoying that. But I'm going to be ready to go soon. Really soon.

Stream of conciousness...

I am home. But I miss this face.

And many others. I head to California in 22 days.

The end.

Breathe, Breathe, Breathe

Ok, so that's not helping. I am sooooooooooooo super stressed out about this psychology exam because basically this exam makes or breaks both my grade for the class and whether I have a high enough GPA to keep my scholarship money. And without my scholarship money, well I can't go to college here. And I feel like I don't know anything, but as soon as I start studying to make sure I do know something, I freak out all over again. It's an extremely vicious cycle and I wish it would go away. Seriously. And blogging isn't helping either, which I thought it would. Great. Where to go from here? I guess all that's left is attempting to calm down, study, and say a few prayers.

Wish me luck.

Is very muggy. It is a very unusually hot 82 degree day for May 3rd. Today in the nasty muggy weather, we walked to Whole Foods and bought a cake. A very yummy looking strawberry shortcake. It was also the final day of classes here. Finals begin Wednesday and I have finals on Thursday and Saturday, and I'm moving home on Sunday. Yesterday was my dear friend B's birthday! Today we are going out as a group to dinner to celebrate the fact that we made it this far! After we're having our yummy cake to celebrate the summer birthdays and B's birthday (5/2) and playing cards! And I have sooooo much to do. A 8-10 page research paper due Friday and a Spanish and Psychology exam coming up. But I can do it. Oh and there's this whole water ban thingy going on... Not cool. We are under a boil water order since Saturday night until further notice. If you are personally interested in the details visit the MWRA's website. I'm gonna go do some reading for my paper and then take a shower whilst listening to JBeebs, and trying not to get water in my mouth.

Sunday morning rain is fallin'

Steal some covers share some skin
Clouds are shrouding us in moments unforgettable
You twist to fit the mold that I am in
But things just get so crazy living life gets hard to do
And I would gladly hit the road get up and go if I knew
That someday it would lead me back to you
That someday it would lead me back to you

Okay so it is Sunday morning but it isn't raining. Far from it. It is so gorgeous and summer like out there. And I'm sitting on my bed here at my grandma's because I was here yesterday to help her do some gardening (best news of the day, I get paid!) Today I head back to school for my final week as a Freshman. Bad news though, there is a boil water order in effect for Boston, because of a pipe burst and E Coli or something. Good times. But I'm looking forward to going back and spending this week with my friends. 2 of them are not returning next year, so that makes me sad, but it's Marine Week! So we're going to show our support. And having an end of the year dinner out tomorrow night! =) And I'm listening to Justin Bieber, what else is new... So, off to unpack some of the stuff I'm leaving here for the summer then a little more gardening, then heading back. Sunny sunny Sunday! =]

My Family =)

If you know me at all, you know my family is #1. They are the best most amazing people ever. And I've been wanting to do a family post for a while, so here it is. I have 6 brothers and 1 sister (with another sister in heaven.) and 2 sisters-in-law, and one very very close to being a sister-in-law without being engaged? (You'll get it when I get there.) And 2 amazing parents who gave all 8 of us life. And although I go nuts around them sometimes, as we all do, I still love them at the end of the day.

This is the most recent most thorough shot I have. It's still missing a girlfriend and two brothers. Sorry! =P

These are my parents. My dad L, and my mom M. They have given us everything we ever needed (well not everything, but everything that matters.) They rooted us deep in love and faith and raised 8 amazing individuals.

This is my oldest brother J and his wife M at my graduation last year. They reside over here on the east coast somewhere in PA. They are coming up on their 2 year wedding anniversary in June. I'm not exactly sure how they met, but they've been together off and on for a pretty long time.

You all remember my older brother B and his wife A from last night's SD post. They have been married for roughly 1.5 years and it will be two in December. A is from Thailand. They met when he was deployed for 2 years in Japan.

This is my older brother J also, to make it easy I will use his middle initial and call him JM and his serious girlfriend, should-be-fiancee N. JM and N have been together for 2 years this past week, but cannot get married because N attends the Naval Academy and is not allowed to marry until she graduates. They are adorable, I love them!

This is my older brother E. He's only 2 years older than me. He is the goofball of the bunch in case you couldn't tell. He just moved out to California to start anew and stay with B&A.

And obviously there's me.

Then there's my brother N, he's 14, do you believe it? He's a star basketball player and is attending my old high school in the fall.

We're almost there, but how could we get there without adorable 11 year old R? He's my "Cuggle Buggy" and I love him. He LOVES LOVES LOVES video games and watching TV but he also enjoys many other things.

And then lastly but obviously not leastly because she's the shining star of our family and all is my baby sister I. I love her. She's spoiled, adorable, and crazy. And a bit of a pre-madonna, but it's okay because after all this time with 6 brothers, I don't even care anymore. I just love my sister.

So there you have it, the brood. Complete. And huge. And outrageous. And the list could go on forever. If only you spent 24 hours with all 13 of us under one roof, let's say a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom roof... like oh say, my house. We haven't done that quite yet, but were very close. And it was interesting to say the least. Extra mattresses, laundry, air mattresses, suitcases, cars. It's nutso batty and utterly ridiculous all rolled into one. But welcome to my family. We're ridiculous and we wouldn't have it any other way. =)

If any of you already are friends with me, let me know so that I know you read my blog! If any of you (potential readers if I indeed have any?) are not on a personal basis with me, feel free to friend request me on Facebook , Twitter , or even YouTube! I want to give everyone a good chance to get to know me! =]

So what exactly was I trying to say?

Remember that post not too long ago with a gorgeous picture of a beach? I do.

How could I forget this beauty?

Seriously one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.

Welcome to La Jolla (Hoy-ya) Cove in gorgeous San Diego California.
I went here last summer on a roughly two week visit to see my brother and his wife last August.
They bought me plane tickets to come see them and spend my birthday as well as my brother's birthday in Cali.

Earlier in the day my sister-in-law and I had gone shopping (first time for both of us taking a city bus!) And my brother called from base (He's a Marine stationed at MCAS Miramar in San Diego.) and suggested that we go to La Jolla Cove when he got out of work and then go have dinner at Outback Steakhouse. The next day (August 26th) was his birthday and we had planned to go to Sea World.

This is my second oldest brother B. (Shhh don't tell, but he's my favorite out of all 6!)

And his lovely wife A from Thailand!

And of course me!

And the beauty of the sun setting in California!

The waves crashed, and we explored. Jumped in the water and played around for a while.

And I took pictures of them standing on rocks hugging. 'Twas a blast! =P

And alas the sun began to set... eventually. At which point we ran back to the car, got lost in a maze of small beach-town roads and eventually made it to Outback and devoured our weight in yummy steak sandwiches. Ok so maybe that last part was only me, BUT it was awesome. I don't think my California experience would have been the same without this.

And due to all the fun we had at the Cove

And other places in the area,

And the fact that I love my dear A&B of course, I have decided

That whatever it takes, this is where I'll be spending June to August this summer. Yup! Moving to the West Coast will be an amazing experience and a welcome change from my windy New England home.

And I don't think I could be any happier!
