I just came from a discussion panel event put on by the Latina organization at my school (of which I am secretary) about Immigration Reform. Safe to say it made me really think about the struggle that people go through on a daily basis just to be here in America. It made me think about what people go through now in comparison to what my grandfather's family went through when they immigrated from Ireland. And I've come to a conclusion. Not a revelation of any sort, but I developed an opinion. Racism needs to stop. Now. It won't be that easy, but I think that acknowledging that it exists is a pretty good start. Don't you?
